Programme Mission

This programme aims to equip gifted students with a forward-looking mindset to tackle real-world challenges in economics, public policy, public service, think tanks, and financial services.  It integrates theoretical knowledge and research skills while promoting affective education to nurture empathetic, responsible, and visionary future leaders for Hong Kong.

Programme Goals

  • To equip gifted students with essential knowledge in business, including economics, finance, and financial technology so as toat to help them become future leaders or experts in related fields; 

  • To develop students' quantitative and qualitative analytical skills in finance and economics through real research and presentations, as well as strengthening their ability to translate theory into practice;

  • To empower students to understand their potential in economics and finance and prepare them forin early planning of for future studies and careers; and

  • To cultivate positive values and attitudes crucial for the holistic development of gifted students, such as resilience, responsibility, integrity, adherence to business ethics, and to promote affective education to nurture empathetic and responsible leaders for the future.

Undergraduate Office

The Undergraduate Office (UGO) is a unit responsible for the student matters of all undergraduate business students. UGO works closely with the six academic Departments and Schools, the Faculty and the University to deliver support to students on multiple fronts.

The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education

The HKAGE aims to become a regional hub of its kind with an effective framework for strategic planning and delivery of appropriate programmes to encourage and nurture gifted students, and to provide support to their teachers and parents as well as other researchers and related organisations within the Hong Kong SAR.
